This model of care is being designed under the clinical leadership of Elira’s co-founder, an Associate Professor and Principal Research Fellow whose research focuses on endometriosis and pelvic pain care.

A scan can be technically excellent and still be only one piece. It answers the question it was asked, then goes back to whoever requested it.
Elira looks at the scan alongside your symptoms, your history and the decision you are facing, so the question becomes wider: not only what can we see?, but what should happen next?

ABOUT THE SCAN
For complex conditions such as endometriosis and adenomyosis, specialist pelvic imaging can help show the location and extent of visible disease, and provide important information for treatment and surgical planning. That detail can change decisions, including whether and how to operate.
We will also always be honest about the limits. No scan can detect every form of endometriosis; some disease is not visible on imaging at all. We will tell you clearly what your scan shows and what it cannot show.
If you are facing a surgery decision, our view is simple: expert mapping first, so surgery is a choice made with better information.
